Tuscan Lakes to get 400 new homes

Apr 14, 2014

League City master-planned community Tuscan Homes will see 400 new houses built on 870 acres, with construction starting in the third quarter of 2014,  according to the Houston Chronicle.

Johnson Development Corp. planned the new homes after seeing increased demand for the community.

One of the homebuilders behind the construction, Westin Homes, told the Chronicle that the new houses will be priced in the $400,000s.

KB Home and Brighton Homes will also build new houses starting in the first quarter of 2015, ranging from $170,000 to $250,000, and starting in the $200,000s, respectively.

Johnson Development has been very active in 2014, with two additional master-planned communities announced recently. That's on top of the developer's  massive community planned for the Camp Strake site near Conroe.

In February, Johnson Development announced that it would develop the largest site left in Sugar Land at 55 acres in partnership with Dallas-based KDC.

In March, the developer also said it would build  another community on 1,300 acres in Fort Bend County off Grand Parkway and West Airport Boulevard.
