Master-planned community near Exxon campus to add medical facilities
Oct 17, 2014
New medical facilities will open next year in Harmony, The Johnson Development Corp.'s master-planned community in Spring. The 16,000-square-foot project is at the corner of Rayford Road and Riley Fuzzel Road, at the entrance to the community. Texas Children's Pediatrics' 7,5000-square-foot space is expected to open in the spring, and Elite Care ER's 8,500-square-foot space is slated to open in the fall of 2015. Houston-based Kaim Associates Inc. is the architect, and Houston-based Beck-Ford Construction is the general contractor. Texas Children's Pediatrics will offer prenatal consultations, well-child visits, care of illnesses, care and treatment of minor injuries, vaccinations and immunizations, preventive health care, school and sports physicals, hearing and vision screening, and health care and nutrition education. Elite Care ER will offer 24-hour emergency care seven days a week. It also will offer a radiology department with on-site CT, x-ray and ultrasound, lab services and emergency trauma and critical care units. Houston-based Johnson Development changed the community's name to Harmony from Discovery at Spring Trails in 2012, shortly after the company was hired to finish developing the community. Harmony is east of the intersection of Interstate 45 and the Hardy Toll Road, near the Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) campus and the future site of the Grand Parkway.
